Who is behind everything Icon-X?

All the songs and the lyrics are composed and arranged by me in my own studio
All the photos and graphics are made by my guitar player Sinyus

Is there such a thing as a fundamental idea which hides itself behind
Icon-X ?

Mm, just the one to keep on having fun on doing what we are doing

How, where and when it came to the founding of Icon-X?

I just left my previous band Exense after have toured throughout Canada, U.S.A. and italy for two years
and i felt something inside me telling me to go on by myself with a new project who can represent me 100%.
that’s how icon x born

Your band have been around how long? How satisfied are you with the
results achieved so far and what would you change if it could turn
back time?

We are a new band.
i started writing material for that project during the winter 2007/2008 but we showed ourselves to the world just
this winter.
I’m very satisfied on how things are going.
We just opened the space 3 months ago and we already have 3.000 friends,
some fan club and a lot of views, so there’s nothing i would like to change ^^

Why did you name the band decided Icon-X? Puts you behind for a
deeper meaning?
There are 2 reason
1- The X denotes the unknown. Something that has a hidden meaning that you have to decipher.
You can find a lot of different meanings for X, it just depends on what is around it.
That is why I chose to use the X in the band’s name.
Icon X means it can be an icon for everyone.
I have a lot of different influences that I’m not proposing myself just on a particular type of audience
but to everyone ‘cause everyone can find something in us to love.
2-This is also a little silly, but I love the sound of the name, Icon X!
If you read it fast, it sounds like you are saying Icon Nex and considering that this started as my own project,
I thought it was a good way to celebrate my ego. Ehehe

What was for any of you ever had the key experience even want to make
music?

I think i just realized it when i was 6 years old.
My mom put a violin in my hands and i immediatly felt in love for the music and i said to myself
“That must be my life” ^^

What it feels like is important in today’s (Gothic) music landscape image
and the visual appearance of a band? Icon-X comply with any
clothes properly?

Nowadays the image of a band is very important people want to see and hear you at the same time.
We are in a multimedia era where Mtv , Viva and other tv programs put the image above everything
so you have to ride the wave or you’ll be kicked out from the market.
We have a couple of sponsors who dress us ^^

Whom do you see as the typical audience? There is a certain audience that her address with your music want?

As i told you before, no ^^
We play a modern pop/rock with electronic and emo influnces.
Everyone should find something to love in our music.

There is “the difference between the German public and other audiences abroad?

Unfortunatly we hadn’t the possibility to play there yet.
Hope to have an answer for that qestion soon

Is there a standard drawer for the music of Icon-X? It describes how people your music that you never have heard?

Actually no, we just do what we like,
mmmm i can say that if we have a concept behind our songs
it’s just the one of keep on touching people

How important is it for Icon-X (musical) success?

A lot, but not for the classical reasons, money, girls ecc… We just wanna hit the market to have the chance
to touch more people with our music and share a lot of good moments with them

Would you perhaps also (musically) can bend, thereby possibly to be
successful, bold label deal to get in and VIVA & MTV love the
long day to be present?

Yes, we are in touch with a lot of people interested in us Managers, Promoters, Labels…
So we’ll see what happen.

What difficulties have you as a band currently the most to fight? Icon-X or running everything as it should be run?

We have the same difficulties of all the bands that start everyhting from the beginning by themself.
But we are very determinate and full of passion

How is this publication at your fans arrived? What reaction there was
from the (scene – Specialist) press?

In the beginning it wasn’t so easy. Our old fans were a lil shocked by our change of style
but now things are going great. We have daily display of love and support by fans.
I just wanna say thanx to all of them. We love you guys ^^

How long have you at the completion of the latest CD worked? Where was recorded and produced?

We still have to record the official album. There are a couple of producers interested in the project so once
decided we’ll start the recording.
Right now we have a selfproduced Ep out recorded by me at my own studio.
it’s just a present for all our fans

To get in the production of someone behind the controls supported, or
was all alone in your hands?

When we’ll record the official one the work will be made 50% by the producer and 50% by me

What requirements must provide it personally to a good song?

There’s no a rule behind it and most of all it depends on the type of music you do.
I think that the best thing is to do what your heart tells you to do.
Don’t care about the rest, you must have fun while you compose a song so just let the stream flows

When her new songs composed, as it requires a certain inner mood or a
special atmosphere?

i don’t research a special mood i just write what i feel,
the mood is the one i had in the moment i composed the song

What draws her themes in your lyrics and what to let you in the lyrics
inspire?

I find inspiration in everything, books, movies, things that surround me and hurt me…
there are lyrics about me and things that happened to me or around me,
other lyrics are just images that the music ininspired to me in that moment

How important are you your texts? Take it in the music of Icon-X a
big place, or you see the texts ore than accessory to the music?

No no abosolutly not. they are both exactly at the same level.
You know, i love to cosider the music as the voice of a painting and the voice is made at the same time
by words and sounds ^^

What can you tell us about the activities of live Icon-X report? It
often gets the opportunity to play live?

We are looking for musicans right now to define as soon as possible the line up.
Then we’ll start with the live

How can you get a gig Icon-X imagine? What is it with you on the
stage from?

Eheh, for me to know and for you to discover
I just can say that we care a lot about the stage designing and the lights

It is also important for Icon-X on the Internet to be represented?
What do you want to in the near future (musically) with Icon-X
achieve?

Internet is the future, you can “easily” get known by everyone
Right now we have some fan page that helps us to get noticed hope they’ll keep on increasing in the future.

2008 – What was your best experience as a musician?

The Canadian and U.S.A. tour we had with our previous band. It seriously was amazing.
A lil tear falls down on my cheek thinking of it again eheh

You can because at a certain date to sit on the new songs to work, or is
this entirely depends on your mood?

there no a rule on how i found the inspiration to compose the songs or the music,
it just comes to me

What you actually go through your head around, if you make music?

It’s very difficult to explain, i just feel something inside me guiding me through the song
Like an other me. then things comes by themselves

In which country would you like to go on tour?

Finland, Japan and oviously come back to U.S.A.

Which country was the most impressing for you??

I suppose finnland ’cause most of the bands i grown up with are from there

What was the most beautiful and unusual gift fan?

mmmm I should say some bras like all the rock stars said,
but it was a letter from a special child who came to one of our shows

What plans do you have for 2009?

Oviously to conquer the music world eheh

What would you never do for money?

Change my music in something very far from me, musicians never have to do it

If you have one wish for free, what would you want?

to don’t loose my hairs ahahhahaha

What would you take with you on a desert island?

All my cds, some books my sun glasses and a swimming trunks
